JoVE Calls For Applications For Its Librarian Travel Award!
JoVE is now accepting submissions for its 2019 Librarian Travel award; this year's theme is How Librarians Support Students and/or Researchers in the Lab. Three librarians will each win a $1,500 travel stipend to attend the conference of their choice in 2019 (See details below).
Submission deadline: March 22, 2019
Award: Librarians will be reimbursed for up to $1,500 of conference related expenses (travel, accommodation, registration, etc.). The award is restricted to only 2019 North American librarian/science conferences.
JoVE will award those librarians helping to advance scientific research at their respective institutions. Interested contestants should submit an essay (750 words or less) answering the following question:
"How are you/your library helping the lab productivity of science students and/or researchers?"
Supporting documents are welcome. All application materials should be submitted as PDFs, with the following naming convention: LastName_FirstName_DocumentName.
Preference will be given to librarians: (a) offering new ways to support their patrons in the lab; (b) and/or providing evidence demonstrating program efficacy.
The award review committee comprises previous award winners and members of the JoVE library advisory board.
